HAND OF FREEDOM: THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF THE PLUMMER FAMILY
Former slave, Adam Francis Plummer, began to keep a diary in 1841, and maintained it for over sixty years. His diary documented day-to-day life along with poignant stories of the sale and separation of the Plummer family members. The diary tells the story of their long struggle to reunite after the end of the Civil War.
